Project in Uganda

Deslibe Charity Organization

Since 2021, we have worked alongside a community school in Uganda to rebuild and develop its facilities. Today, the school provides free education to more than 300 children.

What Is the Project?

Our collaboration with Deslibe Charity Organization began in 2021 in Kimanto, Uganda. Following the COVID-19 pandemic, the school’s already limited infrastructure had been severely damaged, leaving the community without adequate spaces for children to return to school.

Since then, we have worked alongside Deslibe to rebuild the school from the ground up. Corazón Raíz has funded the construction and expansion of classrooms, the acquisition of the land where the school now operates, furniture, and other essential needs.

What began as an effort to create the conditions for children to return to school has grown into a long-term partnership. Together, we are strengthening the school’s infrastructure so it can continue to grow alongside its community and provide free preschool and primary education.

Today, more than 300 children attend the school. We continue working alongside Deslibe to strengthen its infrastructure and advance toward greater financial and organizational sustainability.

In a country where public schools are limited and much of the population lives in extreme poverty, providing free educational opportunities is essential to ensuring that children can go to school.
